Brett Scrivener, Industry Consultant

 

Brett Scrivener started working in the hospitality industry 23 years ago as an apprentice chef at Observation City, Scarborough. From there he has worked at various venues around Perth including Matilda Bay Restaurant, Mindarie Keys and The Vines Resort. Brett then used his career choice to travel where he worked in London for 2 years before returning to Perth and being involved in the opening of Trigg Island Café. He was then successful in securing a position as Catering Manager for sodexo where he worked for 7 years before joining The Mead Group as Kitchen Manager and then a further 3 years as Head Chef for Bennion Street Cafe, North Beach. Now working with HGT as an Industry Consultant, Brett is really enjoying passing on his experience through training young people to help maintain and upskill the future hospitality workforce.
