Do any other charges apply for hiring a Hospitality Group Training apprentice, trainee or school based trainee?
Yes, penalties are paid in accordance with the Award and may include the following:
Overtime:
- when over 10 hours in one day have been worked
- when over 76 hours have been worked in a fortnight
- if an apprentice has worked on a Rostered Day Off
Meal Allowance:
Morning/Evening Penalty:
- for hours worked before 7am and after 7pm, Monday to Friday
Weekend Penalty:
- Saturday and Sunday are paid at a rate of time-and-a-half (only the extra half time is charged as a penalty)
Laundry and Equipment Allowance:
- Unless provided by the host, all apprentices receive a fortnightly allowance
GST:
- GST of 10% will be added to the total of your invoice. You will be able to offset this amount as an input tax credit.
