The training arm of HGT delivers comprehensive on and off-the-job training to hospitality and tourism employers, staff, students and trainees in all areas of hospitality.
Jennifer started working part time in the hospitality industry when she was 19 as a way to supplement her income. However, once she had a taste for it she couldn’t get enough. Jennifer loved the flexibility of being able to work days or nights, having a whole stretch of beach to herself and not sitting in freeway traffic jams with the 9 to 5 workers. Starting out as a bar attendant and waitress and then progressing to work in a variety of roles including functions coordinator, restaurant and bar manager, front office receptionist and eventually food and beverage manager. After working in Fremantle for 10 years Jennifer finally secured the position of General Manager for the pre opening set up of a Marina Hotel. This was a huge learning experience and taught her the demands of making a profit and staying within a marketing budget. Working with Hospitality Group Training, Jennifer looks after the training arm of the organisation.
