Kirsty Runciman, Industry Consultant

Kirsty Runciman completed her chef apprenticeship in New Zealand before moving to Queensland where she worked in the Whitsundays and various other beautiful locations along Queensland’s coast. From there, she moved to Perth and worked at the Sebel hotel as Chef de Partie. Travel was calling to Kirsty again and she took a trip north to the UK and eventually started working at Norton House in Scotland where she stayed for a further year. Eventually Kirsty returned to Perth and took a position at King Street Café for 2 years before moving again, this time to Ayers rock for a year where she worked at Sails in the Dessert Hotel. With the travel bug out of her system she again returned to Perth and secured a sales job with Centra Fine Foods. Kirsty now works for HGT as an Industry Consultant where she mentors chefs apprentices in the work place and delivers training units in Certificate II and III in hospitality to trainees and school based trainees.
