SCHOOL BASED TRAINEESHIPS

 

A school based traineeship is a unique opportunity for Year 11 & 12 students to begin preparing themselves for a career in the hospitality workforce while still at secondary school.

Hospitality Group Training works in partnership with schools, students and local businesses to provide valuable expertise, knowledge and coordination of traineeships to ensure a brighter future for our youth, industry and the wider community. 

 

Hospitality Group Training school based trainees can specialise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Food Service - preparing tables, taking orders, serving food
  • Beverage Service - taking orders, handling and serving beverages
  • Kitchen Service - preparing food and basic cooking

Hospitality Group Training’s nationally accredited training outcomes and qualifications for school based traineeships include:

  • Certificate II in Hospitality
  • Certificate III in Hospitality (approved on a case by case basis)
  • Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations)
